Crazy Busy!

So, I haven't been around much. But can you blame me? Not MY fault that I've been working so much. And even those days where I think I might have a day off, and thus wear my jeans and flip-flops to drop the kids off at school, they chase me down in the hallway and make me work. Yes, that actually happened. Well, they didn't MAKE me work, she asked nicely, and I was happy to put off laundry for another day or to... uh, I mean, I was happy to help.

Yesterday I cleaned all day. And I did really clean all day. Everything but Emily's room, and I'll be doing that one of the days this week most likely. She was supposed to have it clean before she went to nana and papa's house, but is it??? NOPE! Not really surprised though! It's nice to be in a clean house. It feels like it's been forever since I've been able to do anything more than surface clean. The boys are currently doing their best to mess everything up. It will just take a few minutes to put everything back together, but I'll wait until they are in bed.

We're heading up to my dad's on Thursday. Scott, Maria and the kids are going to be heading up for Easter too. It will be nice to see them. We haven't seen them in a while. I think it's been since last Easter if I'm not mistaken. They are down in South Carolina now, so it will be a while until we see them again. I am hoping to get some good pics of all the kids when we go up.

Pine Car Derby

OK, so he didn't win, but he sure had the coolest car there! He would have had a shot at winning, but the kid who was "helping" them put their cars on the track bumped into him, and knocked his car on the ground. That knocked a wheel loose, and parents weren't allowed to touch the cars once they were official, but that's okay. We know better what to do next year! He got a trophy anyway, and we had fun just making the car together and racing it. Isn't he so cute? I can't believe how BIG and grown-up he's getting!

Busy week!

Hopefully this week won't be as chaotic.

Went to Grandpa's funeral on Tuesday. It was nice. He was just such an awesome man, but I truly am glad that he is with Grandma again, and that they are young again. I miss them both terribly, but I wouldn't ask to bring them back to this earth for anything. They are happy and at peace again, and the best tribute I can give them is to be the person they would want me to be, and to be happy as they would wish for me.

Not a lot of time for scrapping this past week either. Only got 2 pages done, but that still brings my yearly total to 69! This one I totally stole from some talented scrapper over at 2Ps! Thanks!

Together again!

Grandpa George passed away yesterday. Although I love him very much, and he will be missed greatly, I choose to look at this from the positive aspect. He is with Grandma again, and they can dance together forever. Grandma died 17 months ago, and Grandpa was so used to taking care of her that he was lost without her. I bet she was just so happy to see him again. I love you both!

Emmy is sick =(

Poor thing. She came home from school yesterday with a fever, and she is still sick. I am hoping it doesn't last as long as mine did last week. And I subbed in her class today and will again tomorrow, and she isn't even there. What a bummer!

Still scrapping! I did 3 more pages last night, simple ones, but pages nonetheless! My yearly count is up to 64 (I think!) Yay me!
