More from the scrap room!

Here's 2 of the 4 I did this weekend. These were both for challenges for an impromptu crop over at SnC. I wanted to do more, but you know how kids and laundry tend to get in the way. Wait a sec, I didn't DO any laundry, so we'll blame Chris instead! =)

You'd think with all this scrapping I've been doing that I would be making SOME progress at getting caught up, right? WRONG! Not even close! I've got hundreds of pictures just sitting in my drawer waiting for me, and I have about a hundred more waiting to be printed from various sledding trips, the dance on Friday, and Caleb's Cub Scout blue and gold banquet. The more I scrap, the more pictures I take. It really is a vicious cycle!

Thanks to the people who commented on my blog. I am so glad my personal pity party motivated you! Actually, I really am kidding, no comments necessary (fun to read, but not necessary). My self worth is not COMPLETELY determined by the # of comments I have, which is a good thing, because it would be in the gutter by now!!! =)

So Sweet!

Last night was the Daddy-daughter dance at school! Emily looked so pretty, and it was so sweet to see all those daddy's with their little girls having so much fun. Of course, there was a large part of the evening where the dads sat awkwardly on the sidelines while their kids jammed on the dance floor. That was fun to watch too.

Em and Chris had a lot of fun. I wish they had things like this when I was little. I am so glad our school does cool things like this!

I feel almost human again...

I mentioned the other day I wasn't feeling well in the morning, that was such an understatement. Shortly after I posted, I got hit with some virus. Fever, headache, chills, all that nasty stuff. I was miserable, and didn't hardly move for 2 days. Feeling better today though! Can't wait until tomorrow morning, I am planning on being back at 100% when I get up, and can't wait to get back to scrapping. I have an awesome sketch that a friend posted over at SnC, and I can't WAIT to try it out! I'll post when I get it done, but until them, here's another layout I did last week.

Oh yeah, and I wanted to say thanks to all of you who read my blog regularly and leave comments for me. It makes me feel so special. WHAT??? NO COMMENTS????? LOL Well, I guess it's a good thing I mostly do this for myself anyway!

What is WRONG with people???

I just don't know what is up with the people in this town. Last week when we had all those snow days and mid-winter break, someone broke into the school and stole $3100 from the office. That was money from book fair and the daddy-daughter dance. How pathetic that they stole money from babies.

Well, this morning, I wasn't feeling well, so Chris took the kids to school. I couldn't figure out what was taking him so long, he was gone for 45 minutes. Well, he got home and told me someone broke into the school AGAIN!! They packed all the kids onto buses and took them across the street to the middle school. They have them all in the gym over there watching a movie. I just can't imagine why someone would defile the place where our kids spend most of their days. That just royally ticks me off.

Seriously, if you need money that badly, get a job! Don't steal from the schools. The government is already doing a good job of that!

*stepping off my soapbox now*

Ahhhhh...

The kids go back to school tomorrow! Not that I don't like having them around, it is just SO hard to get anything done when they are home! I clean the kitchen, they make a mess getting a snack. I fold the laundry, they knock it off the couch onto the floor. UGH! It's like trying to shovel during a blizzard. I have managed to scrap some more pages though! In fact, Chris got ticked at me last night. He asked if I was "done" yet. LMBO! Will I EVER be done? He said I've been scrapping for 3 days. So I asked him why it was okay for him to play the PS2, but I couldn't scrap. He didn't exactly have an answer for that! I love it when he's speechless!

The layout up top I did for a sketch challenge for the SnC board. It is some pics from Great Wolf Lodge from Emily's birthday. It was from a Becky Fleck Sketch. She just rocks!

My running total for the year (including the 37 page recipe box I did) is 53 pages. Not a bad start. It's a little more that 1 a day! Not that I'll actually keep that up, but a girl can dream right?

On a Roll!

Here's another layout I did. Well, I didn't do this one today, I did it yesterday, but the ones I did today are for the SnC DT, so I can't show you yet ;)

Been busy!

I've been scrapping today! YAY! Only 3 pages, but the day is young, and I am hoping to keep going. This is one of them. It is Emily at Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City for her birthday in December. We had so much fun! Nana and Papa surprised her with the trip.

My goal from here on out is to try to post my layout of the day... meaning a layout I did that day. I know that is probably unrealistic, but a girl can dream, right? I have a bunch I can use to fill in, but maybe this will inspire me to do a layout each day and then maybe just maybe I can get closer to being caught up!

And I thought I was bad before...

I never claimed to be a good blogger. It's painfully obvious that I am not! But lately I've been challenged to update things here and keep up with things. So, we'll see how it goes!

I might even get around to sharing some of my layouts and things I am working on! Again. we'll see! But I guess this is a start, right?

Absolutely nothing going on. The kids had two snow days the last couple days, and the next two days they are on mid-winter break. We've been sledding and building snow forts and consuming outrageous amounts of hot chocolate. I've been taking lots of pictures, now if only I could find the time to scrap them all! I am painfully behind in that too. Someday I might catch up!

Here's a few from sledding last week!
